The Young Real Estate Professionals proud to have Mr. Hersch Klaff, President of CEO of Klaff Realty speak at our next speaker luncheon on Monday, November 1, 2010.
Klaff Realty, LP is a privately owned real estate investment company based in Chicago, Illinois that engages in the acquisition, redevelopment and management of commercial real estate, with a primary focus on office and retail, throughout the United States.
Since 1995, the company has established a leadership position in the acquisition of distressed retail space. Significant bulk transactions include Albertson’s, Mervyn’s, Rex, K-Mart, Montgomery Ward and Service Merchandise.
To date, Klaff Realty has acquired properties in excess of 100 million square feet with a value in excess of $6 billion. Klaff Realty’s current portfolio consists of approximately 27 million square feet of retail and distribution space across the United States.
In 1982 Mr. Klaff formed Klaff Realty. He began his career with the public accounting firm of Altschuler, Melvoin and Glasser in Chicago and is a certified public accountant.
Mr. Klaff received a degree in Economics and Accounting from The University of Witmatarsrand in Johannesburg, South Africa.
